My Introduction into photography began with a Visual Media class offered in high school. The class a basic introduction to photography , darkroom print development, offset printing and basic graphic arts provided the foundation for the images I produce today. I purchased my first 35mm film camera several years after graduating high school and soon found myself capturing images for family and friends. Shooting family and friends branched into senior pictures and wedding for friends. When digital SLR cameras hit the scene I stopped shooting for a brief period of time due to the cost of owning digital SLR equipment at the time. I was re-introduced to digital photography by a friend who’s main focus was team and sports photography. Soon I was assisting with team photos and covering recreational league soccer, softball and baseball. I was fortunate enough to land a freelance photography job with the Ark Valley News a small weekly publication. Coverage for the paper consists of high school sports, local news, and special events. In addition my images have been published in VYPE a local magazine featuring high school athletes. I am also fortunate enough to shoot Division 1 sports covering Kansas University Football and Basketball f for a national news wire service. My goal is to capture and produce quality images that will provide memories for a lifetime.
